Events Tab

 

The Events tab allows you to set up default events that are applied to all packages created in your eDOCSignature system. Events are actions that automatically occur after a specified amount of time has passed. There are three event types in eDOCSignature:

 

  • Resend tickets to signers  – Resends email notification to signer if not signed after the allotted number of days.
  • Notify package creator – Sends email notification to package creator if not signed after the allotted number of days.
  • Delete package – Deletes package from the system if not signed after the allotted number of days.  

 

Notes:

Events can also be set up at the package or template level when sending a package out for signing or creating a signing template to use as a self-service form. If any event is applied to a package or template at the package or template level, the default events set up on this tab will not be applied to that package or template.

If more than one event of the same type is applied to a package, the last event applied is the event that will occur. For example, if you create an event to delete a package after three days if not signed and then create an event to delete that same package after six days if not signed, the package will be deleted after six days if not signed.
